Assistive technology encompasses a wide variety of products and services, from low tech adaptive equipment to high tech custom power wheelchairs operated by eye gaze This webinar will provide a general overview of the various categories of assistive technology and their uses. Information will be shared regarding which certified and/or licensed professional to contact for specific recommendations to utilize on a Life Care Plan.
Objectives
- Identify at least 3 categories of Assistive Technology
- Understand the difference between low tech and high tech devices and their appropriate uses
- Choose the appropriate professional to contact for specific assistive technology recommendations
