Meet the 2018 AANLCP Executive Board



Erin OConnell, MSN, MBA, RN, CNL, CNLCP®, MSCC

Erin OConnell has worked in the nursing field for over a decade.  Her clinical experience is in a multitude of nursing areas including the ICU, Telemetry, ER, Long-term Care, Rehabilitation, Same day/PACU, and as an adjunct college instructor. Her career has afforded her many diverse experiences and opportunities which have deepened her appreciation and respect for the field of Nurse Life Care Planning.





Past President


Denise W. Wrenn is a Louisiana-based Entrepreneur, and a Registered Nurse in both Louisiana and Texas. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from the University of Texas School of Nursing Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas and a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Ms. Wrenn is certified as a Legal Nurse Consultant, a Life Care Planner, Case Manager, Worker’s Compensation Professional, a Medicare Set-Aside Professional and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. Denise has more than 25 years of professional experience including medical case management, legal nurse consulting, worker’s compensation administration, Medicare set-aside allocations, occupational health and safety,and work site wellness services.   




Beth is honored to serve on the AANLCP executive board, in the secretary position. With her diverse background, she has the potential to bring her unparalleled experience of over 35 years as a Registered Nurse, while continuing to grow with the association. She plans to work with the board to continue to advance the association for all members on professional and personals levels.











La'Toya Lowery, RN, BSN, MBA, CCM, CNLCP® 

LaToya has more than 15 years of experience in nursing and case management.  She has been an active member of the local chapter of Case Management Society of America (CMSA) since 2006, currently serving as President. She holds a certification in Case Management (CCM). LaToya is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP), and has been a part of the Journal and Outreach Committees since 2014. 


LaToya has been appointed by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Community Advisory Committee for Guilford County. Her knowledge and expertise is used to provide assistance to the local and regional ombudsman in advocating and following up on the care of residents in long-term care facilities.
