Meet the 2019 AANLCP Executive Board




Erin OConnell has worked in the nursing field for over a decade.  Her clinical experience is in a multitude of nursing areas including the ICU, Telemetry, ER, Long-term Care, Rehabilitation, Same day/PACU, and as an adjunct college instructor. Her career has afforded her many diverse experiences and opportunities which have deepened her appreciation and respect for the field of Nurse Life Care Planning.

Kelly Dawson, RN, BSN, LNC, CLCP

 Kelly is honored to serve on the AANLCP executive board, in the   secretary position. 














La'Toya Lowery, RN, BSN, MBA, CCM, CNLCP® 

LaToya has more than 15 years of experience in nursing and case management.  She has been an active member of the local chapter of Case Management Society of America (CMSA) since 2006, currently serving as President. She holds a certification in Case Management (CCM). LaToya is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP), and has been a part of the Journal and Outreach Committees since 2014. 

LaToya has been appointed by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Community Advisory Committee for Guilford County. Her knowledge and expertise is used to provide assistance to the local and regional ombudsman in advocating and following up on the care of residents in long-term care facilities.

2020 President-Elect

Evelyn Robert BSN, RN, CCM, CRP,CLCP, MSCC

 Evelyn has 15+ years of clinical nursing experience with 18+ years of Life Care Planning. She has extensive  case management experience interfacing with the catastrophically injured,  physicians, employers, insurance companies and attorneys. 


Background & Experience: 
Executive Director (Ret) International Commission On Health Care Certification (ICHCC): 
Duties included but not limited to: Overseeing and advise all certifying boards associated with the ICHCC, address ethical issues that may be presented before the ICHCC; review and critique Life Care Plans as indicated.
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing: Provide services for traumatic/catastrophic events. Background has included robbery, assault and traumatic loss of life. [locally and in Manhattan immediately following the September 11 tragedy]


Registered Nurse Commonwealth of Virginia.
Certified Case Manager.
Certified Rehabilitation Provider.
Certified Life Care Planner.
Medicare Set-Aside Consultant Certified. 


2020 Treasurer


I've been a Registered Nurse since 1993. My career started in critical care followed by home care. My home care experience included Case Manager, Hospital Coordinator, Hospital Coordinator Team Leader, Director of Operations, Regional Director of Operations.


I have experience at skilled agencies that offered Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as Attendant Care.


I also had the privilege of working for an agency that sold durable medical equipment (DME), infusion services, respiratory equipment/services, and enteral/tube feeding/TPN.


I've been in Independent Life Care Planner, Legal Nurse Consultant, Medicare Set-Aside, and Case Manager since 2011.
