Disciplinary Procedures

Pursuant to the ANLCP Bylaws, the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners Executive Board will investigate allegations of misconduct by Members. 

Information about misconduct must be submitted in writing through the website or via email to the Executive Board president within sixty (60) days of discovering an alleged violation(s). 

If an allegation of misconduct is made against the President of the Executive Board, the statement may be sent in writing to any member of the Executive Board. Supporting documentation must accompany the complaint.

Complaints may include, but are not limited to:

  • Material misrepresentation or fraud.
  • Gross and/or repeated negligence in professional work.
  • Maligning another professional’s reputation.
  • Any other violation of the Association’s Code of Ethics.

The Executive  Board, or an appropriate appointed committee,will review the allegation, investigate the allegation, and take one or more of the following actions:

  • Dismiss the allegation due to insufficient evidence, or
  • Attempt to resolve the issue with the parties involved, or
  • Initiate sanctions when and where indicated or.
  • Forward the allegation to the Universal Life Care Planner Certification Board for review and action.

The decision is final.
